Campus Technology: SunGard Higher Education Customers Earn Innovators Awards

Two SunGard Higher Education customers were recipients of the Campus Technology Innovators Awards for 2009. Kent State University won the award for Enterprise Resource Planning Innovator and the Fashion Institute of Technology won the ePortfolios Innovator award.

“On the surface, Project KEYS at Kent State University (OH) was a $23 million, 30-month project to roll out the Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution from SunGard across eight different campuses.”

“Thanks to the implementation of a new Admissions ePortfolio system at Fashion Institute of Technology (NY), applicants now can submit their work over the internet. The system sends an e-mail acknowledgment of receipt of the portfolio to the applicant, provides for online evaluation and grading by faculty, and updates applicants’ records in the school’s SunGard Banner student information system, all electronically.”
