Ivy Tech Community College President Thomas J. Snyder published an article in Community College Week about how the SunGard Higher Education digital campus is helping the college meet the needs of its exploding student enrollment. He writes, “The enrollment numbers at Ivy Tech Community College are staggering. In fall 2009, we enrolled 24,000 more students than we had just the previous year. And over the past two years, the college has experienced a whopping 45 percent increase in enrollment; building on a steady enrollment increase of 10-20 percent in the years prior to 2007 … Yet we managed to absorb this increase – with only 2 percent in additional state and federal funding – by leveraging technology ...The most significant enabler of our success has been the implementation of our SunGard Higher Education Banner Unified Digital Campus (UDC). We could not have grown and accommodated this increase in enrollment if we did not have the Banner technology to support the breadth and delivery of services to our students.”
