The article reads, “… I would like to share with you my firsthand
experience with this initiative. Just to put my comments in perspective,
I have been working with and providing technology for higher education for 25
years, both as a vendor and as a higher education technology “user”. I have
very high expectations for vendors and I am not easily impressed. So what
I am about to share with you took me by surprise.
Yesterday we launched The Commons,
which will bring together many thousands of global SunGard Higher Education
customers and employees in a collaborative networked community that is hosted
on edu1world.org. Over the past 3 months I have had the privilege of
working closely with the SunGard Higher Education team on this new venture, and
I have to give credit where credit is due - SunGard Higher Education has
exceeded my expectations at every step of the way. Seriously.”
