Dayton Daily News: Universities Team with
Software Provider
The Dayton Daily News reported that “the University
of Dayton, Wright
State, Wilberforce, Miami
and Central State universities have joined a
statewide partnership of public and private schools intended to reduce costs of
administrative computer software that they use.
The partnership includes 26 Ohio
colleges and universities that use the SunGard Banner software, school
officials said Monday, April 26. The schools use the Banner software for
operations including human resources, finance, registration, student records,
enrollment and recruiting, class rosters and grading.
Under the three-year agreement, SunGard will provide a project manager and
software developers to create improvements requested by the schools. The
partnership is intended to improve efficiency and reduce costs, the
participating schools said.”
