We are pleased to share the
news that Datatel and SunGard Higher Education have completed the transaction
to combine and operate as one company. The newly combined organization will
be focused on helping institutions succeed in today’s changing education
environment.
As we combine business
operations, we are committed to providing the smoothest transition
possible. John Speer will serve as the CEO of the combined company and Ron
Lang will serve as vice chairman of the board of directors. We will do
business as “Datatel+SGHE” until we announce a new name in the first half of
2012.
